Personal Ad Project - Español I

Español I - Personal Ad Project

A. Create a personal ad (like you might see in a local newspaper dating service) in Spanish. Be as creative as possible while using words we've already learned in Spanish.
BE CAREFUL HERE! - Don't fall into the very tempting trap of writing in English first and then having it translated into Spanish. The idea is to recycle all of the words and structures YOU have had the opportunity to learn in this course, and to help you really internalize them. Using an electronic translator, or someone more skilled in Spanish, to change your English into Spanish is cheating and you will get a 0 on this 100 point assignment.

Provide all of the following basic information about yourself: (Nota = datos/facts - information items)
1. Tell how old you are, where you're from, and when your birthday is. (3 datos)
2. Write sentences about what you are like :
(A)physical traits - what you look like - and (B)personality traits(what kind of person you are). (2 datos, mínimos)
3. Write sentences describing what you like do, what you love to do, and what you don't like to do. (3 datos, mínimos)
4. Talk about what you do on a typical day - use at least 4 different verbs in the "yo" form. (4 datos, mínimos)
5. Describe your favorite class and your favorite teacher - using physical trait and personality trait adjectives. (4 datos).

B. Requirements:
1. Use complete sentences (subject + verb + information). Personal AD should be AT LEAST 20 sentences long.
2. Rough Draft due: Viernes - el 04 de junio - This may be either handwritten OR typed. Either way, please DOUBLE SPACE - leave a free line between written lines so your editors have a place to make helpful suggestions.
3. In-class work - editing: Have 2 other students read through your work, making suggestions in the black lines. They should sign their names on your handout below.
4. Then for homework for lunes el 7 de junio, type up your Personal ad in its final form.
